Singer/Songwriter Miss Kjah
May we introduce you to Singer/Songwriter/Label owner Miss Kjah, this dynamic female brings a presence that encompasses true talent, grace and sensuality. Her music brings an identifiable freshness with an infusion of soul and reggae that separates her from the current flock of young UK Artists'.
So who is Miss Kjah, Well Miss Kjah was born in the United Kingdom to Trinidadian and Grenadian parents, and from an early age Kjah, would love to sing at every given opportunity, influenced by the reggae music her sibling and parents would play around the house, she soon realised that she wanted to be a singer.
Miss Kjah, by no means a control freak, has taken the not so common D.I.Y route into the music industry and on November 1st 2010 set up her own record label Bac Pay Records, with Manager/Producer Monnei Lamar in order to cut red tape and having a hands on approach with the direction of her and other Artist's creative efforts into the music industry.
We've seen Miss Kjah open for Faith Evans and SWV, also Bunny wailer at the Brixton Academy and even grace the 02 stage with Tarrus Riley singing a duet after bringing the house down with her single TIME. Miss Kjah also went on to performing at Lewisham's people day outdoor event and Carnival 2012 with a string of other jaw dropping performances.
2012 saw Miss Kjah nominated for best British female newcomer at BRIA ( British Reggae Industry Awards) even though she likes to consider herself a RnB/Hip Hop and Reggae infused recording performing artist. Miss Kjah's style is both feisty and sensual, encompassing inspirational and uplifting lyrics, mixed with "oh you didn't" topics to touch the heart and soul of the listener.
So what has the future got in store for Miss Kjah, well in 2016 there will be a string of single releases featuring some big names in the music industry, then the release of an EP titled TIME and the completion of her album scheduled for a 2017 release date.
Miss Kjah Bac Pay's first lady one to watch and listen out for.
